MD is a leading cause of blindness. When I received a diagnosis of early MD, I determined to do something about it. Here is an update for those interested.
Thanks for all your detail and information. That's very impressive. The only other suggestion may be taking alpha lipoc acid and milk thistle for your liver. In Chinese medicine the health of the liver is intimately connected to the health of the eyes.
Forgot to mention. I will remember you if I need any medical consultations. It's a disgrace that the money we spend on Healthcare is generally wasted on one-size-fits-all quack medicine and medical practices. I hear you on not believing that nothing could benefit the covid plague besides covid jabs. Thank God that NAC, vitamins, minerals and herbal medicines helped and still help my immunity against many health threats. I refuse to be fearmongered. I've been alive long enough to realize that toxins, including toxic drugs contribute to bad health. There is no doubt in my mind that I would be dealing with more problems than I started with (or had ever lived with), if I had started taking the NSAID the doctor prescribed me about 2 months ago.
Congratulations on the healing I'm expecting to come your way Dr. Rima. Sounds to me like you have and still are making very wise choices regarding good health and Healthcare. I will be sure to save this latest substance.
I was having a little trouble with my left knee about 2 months ago. The orthopedic doctor prescribed me some NSAIDS I wouldn't give to a dog. I only had the prescription filled so I could research the drug. The reported risks and side effects were many. I've been sticking with nutrients without side effects, or more suffering than I started with. I will be checking out your full script store. I believe in using clean and high quality supplements. I have a few trusted suppliers I order from.
You might want to try a wrap around red light therapy pad. Im81 years young, row, bike, walk, do yoga and I believe my knees are ok because of this. In addition to supplements and minerals for whole body, just keep stretching and moving.
God bless you Nancy! My knee feels like it's almost back to normal now. I walked with a cane for over 6 months when I was in my twenties. The doctor told me that I had loose cartilage in my right knee. Felt more like a damaged ligament or a tendon to me. I was biking uphill in the wrong gear while seated. To my surprise I was still able to continue biking and playing paddle ball with no pain. I only hurt while walking or during cloudy and rainy or cold weather. The paddle ball playing and cycling I believe aided in my recovery. The only supplements I was taking at that time was cod liver oil and vitamin C. Those 2 nutrients alone were tremendous in preventing me from catching colds every month of the year. July and August were the only months I didn't have or catch a cold between the ages of 15 and 20.
So keep doing what you're doing when it works for you, and you know you're getting better results without adding more grief and suffering to your life. Works for me.
"DMSO can often significantly improve one’s vision, treat conditions such as macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa, and at times allow blind individuals to regain their sight. It is also often very helpful for sore and strained eyes and relieves excessive irritation and inflammation, along with many other eye conditions (e.g., cataracts)."
This is a strange one Dr. Rima but you know how it goes. Sometimes the most unlikely things are worth exploring. Dr. Makis has been exploring DMSO/castor oil combinations for eye problems.
I also recently read a stack where a girl got rid of cararacts in 6 weeks with colloidal silver. blew my mind. That makes me wonder if cataracts is a live bacterial growth.
I'm looking for that substack right now because I think another person said they cured macular degeneration with a 40% dmso/water solution. That might be a Midwestern Doctor substack article but not sure yet. Still looking for it for you.
Hexane free, organic castor oil removes cataracts as well as bunions, warts and anything else that isn't supposed to be there. I put it directly in my eye and in six weeks went from zero peripheral in my right eye to total peripheral vision in that eye and about a 40% decrease in blurriness. I only use it once a week. I am going slow since I am my own Guinea pig.
I am glad to hear that you recommend Nano Soma. I have been taking it since 2021. I am 76 and my health and mood have never been better. I avoid pharmaceuticals as I learned long ago that they are just band aids and don't reach the root cause of any problem. I try to eat a healthy diet without driving myself nuts with perfectionism about it, I meditate daily and work to eliminate toxic thoughts. Thanks for your encouragement that so-called "incurable disorders" can be addressed without meds.
You might want to look into the use of DMSO for use in making eye drops for reversing MD. A solution of 20% DMSO and 80% normal saline is likely the place to start. You put one drop in each eye twice a day. It stings but clears quickly. If you contact ND Amandha D. Vollmer (yumnaturals.com) she will be able to advise you further. She will also tell you that eye problems are linked to the liver, according to Chinese medicine so I suggest you make sure you detox your liver.
I have wet macula in right eye. Had three eye la shots and haven’t needed another for 30+ month, checking every three months. Very unhappy that my dry macula degeneration in left eye has turned wet. Had a shot and it seems clearer. Will be checked by retinal specialist in a month. I’m very on top of clearing out bodily debris with a medical energy worker using NAET technique. Helps eyes greatly. It also helps that I will be able to share this article with my dr who will be very receptive, as Lutine and zeaxanthin (Mercola) haven’t helped,at least to my knowledge. Fullscript is excellent.
I was diagnosed with cataracts in my early 40's and had my first cataract surgery in April 2017. Look into cellular/microwave radiation symptoms and side effects from the 1960's....high blood glucose levels, high blood pressure, elongation of the eye resulting in MD, cataracts, glaucoma. It is frequency warfare that is damaging us and you are being targeted so they're probably hitting you tens times as hard. I know, I'm targeted as well. And no one has to give up Internet or cell phones, they just have to use a lower less dangerous frequency and connection will actually improve in quality because it's dedicated to communication not weaponization.
some years ago I came across a physician's account who reversed her MD with a supplement of carbon 60 in olive oil.....C 60 is a powerful antioxidant that helped but did not cure my UGH syndrome (uveitis glaucoma hyphema) from an irritating intraocular lens that ultimately had to be removed. Am a retired physician myself and thought this might be of interest. here a random link:https://c60-france.com/en/content/25-macular-degeneration-treatment-c60
Two natural food items that are extremely good for the eyes.
Red Radish
Beef Liver
My eyes went wonky after taking a diuretic to treat congestive heart failure caused supposedly by excess fluid in the lungs, around the heart and edema in the legs. While the diuretic did what it was supposed to do by dealing with the edema and shortness of breath caused by the excess fluid in the lungs and heart it caused a problem with 'floaters' and 'dry eyes' along with eye focusing problems.
I see physical results of 'tired eyes' and 'floaters' within minutes!
I have seen where I could not read my computer screen because of the floaters causing inability to read whole words on a screen. After eating four radishes, within 10 minutes, vision clears. Eating beef liver has similar results and lasts five times longer (a few days). Two oz of liver every two or three days or 3 oz of red cherry bell radish daily. I have not seen an additive benefit from having both in one day or every day.
BTW I have not eaten very many milk products and zero carrots in months!
Cherry Belle radish is a specific variety of red radish, there are many other varieties of red radish that would probably do just as well as Cherry Belle.
I chose the Cherry Belle Radish because that is what I see most often in Canadian grocery stores. There is no doubt that other genres of radish may be more or less efficient at delivering the effect I have noted. This is anecdotal evidence and there should be some placebo controlled scientific studies to determine the efficacy of this method. Fact remains that I have determined a favourable result using this one particular radish. I did not claim that any other radish will have similar effect.
Rarely does one find the proper cultivar name on a super market vegetable. I've never seen the name of the radish cultivars on the bag they come in. Cherry Belle is a bit hotter than other current hybrid cultivars. I used to grow radish Red Boy, it was hot!
The heat in a radish depends more on the amount of water it receives immediately before harvesting than it does by the cultivar. What makes you think you are some kind of authority on radishes? I suspect that 70 years of eating radishes has some sway to the info.
Amount of isothiocyanates determines heat in a radish. Stress during growing, like drought, will intensify formation of the isothiocyanates. How much water do you think a radish can hold? Gallons?
Whatever you tell them it is likely to be so covered with the BS (Bad Science) of the day that it is not worth the air it is sent on.
You need to learn to BE NICE FIRST! Nobody wins when the first thing you do is irritate your opponent no matter how correct you think you may be.
On what basis are statements without qualification? Had you pointed out your degrees first I might not have been so hard on you. However, You still deserved the dressing down. Right, private?
A university degree confirms that you can wash, rinse and repeat the Bad Science you have been instructed to absorb over the last 40 - 50 years. There are pills for that.
My statement is nothing more than experience, not scientific experimentation using scientific method. You can choose to take it at face value or refuse to accept it. Just don't shoot the messenger! My experience is factual and I defy anyone to prove it false. There is no reason to be pedantic. It is a freaking radish. Does it really matter in the big scheme of things?

I take ALA and milk thistle in my daily nutritional protocol. But you are right.

Have you looked into applying dmso topically?

It wouldn't hurt to try some around affected areas.

Also find an experienced NAET practitioner, have them check to see if you have a subclinical virus in your eyes.
Reduce exposure to blue screens and turn off wifi at night.
great read. I'll take a look at the two links - fullscript and MagicDichol
Also, thank you for this informative article. I may be calling you in 5he future, as funds are tight now.

multiple degrees plant science/physiology and 60 years experience. According to you, I qualify as a dumbass. What will I tell my kids???

You dead sure Cherry Belle is not a tradename of the shipper?
