Why does the petition need my phone number? I'll fill everything else in but not my phone number. Why do they need it? I live in Australia, & no matter where I live I still don't think they need it.
The government of Canada requires it on the emails they receive. We do not track or use that information. I have no idea why they ask for it, nor how they would be able to discern if someone just put in a random string of numbers.
That is a mystery to me.

Oh, well that is a different question with a different answer. It is actually not a petition, it is a signed letter which you are sending to the President of the United States. The government of the US will not accept these emails without a phone number. As in the previous answer, I do not think they would have any way of discerning if it is your real number or not. But if you want to send the email, you have to put in a phone number.
We have no control over that requirement.

I will clarify that with the family, but whether or not they are vaccinated or not, wanton slaughter of a herd of animals is insane BUT these are NOT food animals, do not leave the farm, have no commercial impact: they are research animals (so why does CFIA have any jurisdiction over them) whose hens produce significant antibodies in their eggs. These antibodies are used for medicinal purposes, potentially obviating the "need" for vaccines, so they are a direct threat to the dominant narrative AND to the financial grift of Big Pharma.
Not only that, their destruction is part of the destruction of life, human and otherwise, by the UN Death Machine, and the destruction of property and other rights.
